In addition to the production of the short film “M14″ by Philippe Roure, Metaluna Productions is currently producing a documentary entitled “Sur la piste du Marvel 14″ (”On the path of Marvel 14″) that follows the real story behind this legendary issue #14 of the french magazine Marvel.

This comic book, expected by thousands of fans, was supposed to come out in march 1971. But the french censorship banned the mag’ for its violence and pro capitalistic tones (the american superheroes were considered by the french communists as a propaganda tool and by the ultra catholica right wing as an apology for violence) and Marvel 14 never came out. For sure the master was created, but a big mystery surrounds this issue. Was it printed ? Did it come out in some remote places ? Were the copies burnt or destroyed before being printed ? Will “Sur la piste du Marvel 14″ be able to tell you the truth about this mythical mag’ ?
