the broken imago

synopsis
Nature has had enough... Humanity is under attack... The children have begun to change…
“The Broken Imago” is the forthcoming feature film by Metaluna productions, after Fabrice Lambot’s “Dying God”. It will be directed by Douglas Buck. A teaser produced by Metaluna Productions and directed by Douglas Buck, was shot in Buenos Aires in june 2008. The gorgeous 35mm teaser gives a first insight on this ambitious eco horror film.
A vengeful nature unleashes a powerful virus from the world’s diminishing rainforests. Transmitted through the air, the virus twists the bodies of the infected into strange, intolerable shapes. Desperately working to maintain order against the looming global pandemic, the staff of a private boarding school on a remote island notice the children are growing strange. Fear and paranoia quickly flourish when the adults find all communications to the mainland lost– apparently severed by the children themselves. Only when the virus inevitably hits do they come to realize the horrifying extent of the children’s — and nature’s — plans. Humanity is not ending. Only the adults are dying…
